He provides strategic guidance and technology expertise that organizations need to transform their end user computing environments. In his role, Colin is responsible for helping Dell’s customers adopt Windows 10 and optimize their deployment processes. A significant element of this work is to improve the end user experience by enhancing user mobility whilst maintaining data security through Dell EMC’s comprehensive portfolio of Deployment Services offering.

Colin has 20 years of experience in the IT industry. He started out as a tier 2 helpdesk analyst for the Computing Centre at Imperial College, London. Shortly after taking this role, he was asked to deploy Microsoft Exchange 4.0 into the College as it began to move from a UNIX SendMail email system. Having gained significant experience by deploying one of the earliest Exchange environments, he moved into Exchange consultancy roles.

Three years after that initial implementation he was working as an Exchange consultant for Compaq. Lady luck intervened once more and Colin was asked to perform an Exchange upgrade for a branch of the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD). This led Colin to specializing first in MoD engagements then branching out into the wider Central Government space dealing with a number of key Government departments.

This specialization naturally brought with it an understanding of the security concerns and drivers in these sensitive environments. However, since joining Dell he has used this experience across all industry sectors. He has acted as both Security and Solution Architect before taking up his current role as a Principal Consultant.

Kei has been with Dell EMC since 1999. He started his career in Japan and served as a presales professional, enabling sales in financial sector and supported channel partners including Dell Japan. In 2001, he took the opportunity to lead and established EMC Japan training center to serve all audiences with their training needs. In 2003 he brought his regional business execution experience to the US to help expand the global Education Services business.

In the US, Kei has taken on various leadership roles to drive the expansion of Dell Education Services business across presales, global services partner enablement, portfolio management, to the current focus on customer programs and marketing.

In recent years, Kei has started to share with his peers (including customers and partner) the best practices for learning program execution. The following 3 key ideas are at the center of his engagement practice to help realize the full potential of learning in today’s transformational work environment.

1. Always see things from the learners’ view - not from the program providers’ view
2. Come up with a learning execution strategy – not just a learning strategy
3. Explore multiple ways to drive learning activities as everyone learns differently

Manager, Services Knowledge Management

Craig began his journey with Dell EMC as the EMC IT Knowledge Management process owner in April of 2014. About a year later he moved into the Services Knowledge Management team for an exciting opportunity to play a role in guiding the strategy of EMC’s Service 360 Transformation program.

Craig has spent his twenty plus years as a Service Management professional focused on improving customer and user experience – largely through Incident Management and Knowledge Management leadership roles. His passion for linguistic analysis and Natural Language Processing is mostly driven by the many innovative ways it can be used as the glue to bind customer advocacy processes together – but he’s also just a total nerd for linguistics and etymology.

Craig is an ITIL Expert, former ITIL instructor, and a proud recipient of an ITSM industry ‘Innovation of the Year’ award for a Service Knowledge Management product he managed.

Craig hopes he’ll have time to publish more on InFocus than he has on his personal blog – which has felt neglected since his twins were born in August of 2013.
