RSA Conference Day 1: Security Analytics is Pivotal

CovielloTaking a break from the month-long Northeast snowstorm, I am in San Francisco at the 2014 RSA Conference this week.  We always look forward to the opening keynotes at major events and the RSA conference definitely falls into that category.  Art Coviello’s comments on the partnership with their federated company Pivotal to continue to evolve the predictive abilities of RSA technologies should make us all sit up and listen.

THE ABILITY TO PROVIDE NEW AND INNOVATIVE WAYS TO DEFEND OUR CRITICAL INFORMATION ASSETS IS THE FOUNDATION OF NEXT GENERATION SECURITY ANALYTICS

Pivotal excels at modernizing applications that require access to large pools of compute and large lakes of data.  As we look at next-generation analytics, and in particular, next generation security analytics (both technically and operationally), it is a prime candidate for modernization by Pivotal.

The ability to provide new and innovative ways to defend our critical information assets is the foundation of next generation security analytics and will help us all realize the security portion of the recently published EMC IT Trust Storymap.
